About
OK, so here is me in a bit more detail. My name is Ian Hedges. I am 39, male and live in the UK. I am married to Joanne and have 2 children.
When I left school, I trained and qualified as an electronics engineer at M/A-COM Ltd. Over a few years I became responsible for the computers and design software within the engineering department and in 1995 I transferred into the IT department.
I am a parent governor at a local school, Watling Lower School, where I also try to assist with my IT knowledge.
I have been researching my family history for over 10 years now and am slowly tracking my ancestors and distant relatives down.
I have owned a camera since I was 12 and at school got into developing and printing my own black and white films. I have not had a lot of time to concentrate on photography over the past years, but intend to correct that as time goes on. I have recently made the change to digital and now use a Nikon D80. I am much more comfortable behind the camera than in front of it, which explains the lack of photos of me.
I have had my own website and domain (ijhedges.com) since 2002 and started a blog (Failure is the Key to Success) in July 2005 as it provided a better communication medium than individual webpages on my site. This photoblog is the latest addition.
